Ajax 21/22 Away (Berghuis#23) M

Ajax wore this away kit during the 2021/22 campaign, Erik ten Hag’s final season as manager before his move to Manchester United. The club competed in the Eredivisie, KNVB Cup, UEFA Champions League and Johan Cruyff Shield, with Dušan Tadić continuing as captain. Ajax won the Eredivisie for the 36th time, finishing with 83 points from 34 matches after recording 26 wins, 5 draws and 3 defeats. They scored 98 goals and conceded only 19, producing a goal difference of +79. The title was secured with a 5–0 victory over Heerenveen, providing a memorable send-off for Ten Hag.

This Ajax 2021/22 away shirt uses an unusual blue and dark navy colour scheme with narrow vertical stripes, pale blue pinstripes and lime-green Adidas shoulder stripes. The shirt has a dark V-neck collar, with matching sleeve details, the Ajax crest with three stars, the Adidas logo and Ziggo sponsor across the front. The Berghuis name and number 23 are applied to the back. Berghuis joined Ajax from Feyenoord in the summer of 2021, making this shirt especially interesting because it represents his first Ajax season after crossing the club’s major domestic rivalry.
